Welcome to Escambia County Schools!

Escambia County is a rural county located in southern Alabama that spans an area of 953 square miles. There is a current population of approximately 38,000 people. The Escambia County School System employs 356 certified personnel (296 teachers) and 276 support personnel to serve 4,150 students. Our school system is organized into three feeder patterns, with high schools located in Atmore, Flomaton, and East Brewton.

AC Moore (Grades Pre-K-K), Rachel Patterson Elementary School (Grades 1-5), and Huxford (Grades K-6) feed to Escambia County Middle School (Grades 6-8). High school students of Atmore attend Escambia County High School (Grades 9-12).

Flomaton Elementary School (Grades Pre-K-5) and Pollard-McCall Junior High School (Grades K-8) feed Flomaton High School (Grades 6-12).

The W. S. Neal High School (Grades 9-12) feeder pattern in East Brewton consists of W. S. Neal Elementary School (Grades Pre-K-4) and W. S. Neal Middle School (Grades 5-8).

Turtle Point Science Center and our alternative school are located in Flomaton, and the Escambia Career Readiness Center is in Brewton. There are two central office locations. The Brewton Central Office houses the superintendent, transportation, federal programs, and human resources. Curriculum and instruction and our child nutrition program staff are located at the Atmore Central Office.
